Up & Down Game

Avery playing the Up & Down Game in the bath - so cute!

Avery at the Science Center

This was at the Science Center in Balboa Park. I have no idea why this is sideways. Anyway, this is Avery figuring out how to use the suction with the ball - so it goes up through this tube like at a bank teller and comes down through the other tube. She figured it out pretty quickly but of course, pinched her finger in the tube and that was the end of that.

Avery in February

Today, we headed to the Reuben H Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park which was really fun. In the month of February, there are 1/2 off admission prices in a number of museums in SD so we plan to take full advantage! Avery is enjoying an exhibit they have called "Kid City."

Avery's first attempt at building didn't work out so well

But she started to get the hang of it with Dad's help

On Saturday, we headed to UTC mall in La Jolla to return a few things. Of course we had to let Avery play in the kids area, which she loved. I tried to push the fact that there were probably so many germs there out of my mind!

Before she discovered the Children's Area, we came across this pretty tree that Avery of course wanted to climb.

Avery wanted to wear Mom's boots so bad so we finally let her try them on!

Last weekend we headed to the Children's Art Museum downtown. Everything is interactive and educational for kids. We had a really good time but Avery was a little under the weather so we were trying our best to keep her entertained (and away from the stairs!). She is in a big plastic house that is supposed to teach about recycling, shapes, textures, etc.

This area is designed for children under 2 years of age - everything is soft and spongy and made to look like a forest. Avery liked it for about 10 minutes - there were a lot of really young babies there. On a side note, doesn't Avery look so slim in her shirt from Aunt Shane and her cute jeans??

Avery found the best seat in the house!

We're headed to Grandpa Jack's - see you later!
